Free WiFi: The WiFi at this cottage was like a rocket, allowing me to connect and stream smoothly without any interruptions. I was able to watch my favorite shows as if I had a personal satellite attached to my phone.
Missing kitchen utensils: Some basic kitchen utensils were MIA, like a drainer, wooden spoon, salad servers, and scissors. Cooking dinner felt like trying to put together a puzzle with missing pieces.

Lovely cottage with a well-equipped kitchen, perfect for cooking meals. The hosts, Peter and Margaret, were welcoming and friendly. The location was quiet and peaceful, with the soothing sounds of birds. Having a fireplace was great for a wet and miserable evening. The cottage was spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The lounge suite was very comfortable and the bed provided a great night's sleep. The fresh coffee for the plunger pot was much appreciated. There were power points in every room, which was convenient. The cottage had underfloor heating, making it even more cozy during the winter. The location was excellent, with a nearby salmon farm and plenty of peace and quiet. a perfect home away from home experience.
Felt right at home, nothing to complain about.

We got great value for our money at Gladstone Cottage. The room was spacious, clean, and warm, especially with the underfloor heating and cozy fire. The location was perfect for stargazing, away from the city lights. Margaret and Peter, the hosts, were friendly, caring, and always available to help with any requests or recommendations.
The only suggestion I have for breakfast is to have a hotter temperature for the hot water in the bathroom basin.

The cottage had a homely atmosphere and thoughtful amenities including a dishwasher and CD player. The firewood basket outside the door was a nice touch. A highly recommended stay.

We stayed at Gladstone Cottage for a few nights and loved it! The heated floors in the kitchen and bathroom were a dream on frosty mornings. The log fire was perfect for toasting marshmallows and drying out towels. The hosts were friendly, and their curly-haired dog and chill cat added to the welcoming atmosphere. The open grounds would be great in summer, and the full oven was convenient for cooking meals. a cozy and fantastic stay!
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

The decoration at Gladstone Cottage was absolutely charming, with beautiful floral wallpaper and cozy furniture that felt like home. The general areas were well-maintained and had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. As a senior woman, I really appreciated how accessible the hotel was, with no stairs to climb and wide hallways that made it easy for me to move around comfortably.
I would have loved to see more assistance available for senior guests. Maybe a few more staff members to help carry luggage or provide extra support when needed.

The location of the cottage is great, with quiet surroundings and a welcoming atmosphere. The hosts, Margaret and Peter, go above and beyond to make guests feel at home, even lighting the fire upon arrival. The cleanliness and comfort of the cottage are outstanding, creating a cozy and inviting space for longer stays. Additionally, the personal touches like the Welcoming Sign on the terrace add a special touch to the experience.
It is important to keep a record of all conversations and correspondence with the owner to avoid any misunderstandings or disputes.

the location just outside of town was peaceful and secluded, and the hosts, Margaret and Peter, were incredibly welcoming. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. the cottage itself was spacious and had everything we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and cozy sofas. We especially loved the underfloor heating and the log burner, which kept us warm and toasty during our stay. It was also a nice touch to have a clothesline where we could hang our laundry while enjoying the beautiful views of Lake Pukaki. our experience at Gladstone Cottage was the gold standard of our entire trip, and we highly recommend it to anyone traveling to the area. Cons: Don't have any issues at all! 😊.
